Hanan & Banrian

“Hanan” and “Banrian” are authentic tea rooms in the Japanese Garden designed and built by a living national treasure. The rooms are usually not open to public, but only during the Fall Foliage Festival, they open their doors. Hanan was designed to look like a samurai house in the style called Shoin-zukuri, and Banrian follows an image of a small thatched house made from straw.
