Tsukuba Space Center

Established in 1972, the Tsukuba Space Center is part of the Tsukuba Science City.
In the Space Center’s “Rocket Plaza,” near the main entrance, there is a real H-Ⅱ rocket, which is around 50 meters long.
This rocket was developed in Japan over the course of around 10 years, and at the time it was world-class in launch capability and efficiency. Thanks to this rocket’s development and launch, Japan was able to develop its own original technology for larger rockets.
