Kyoto × Capsule Hotels
“Smart Stay SHIZUKU” is a new capsule hotel by Kyoto Station that opened in April of 2018.
It was created based on the concept of a “private oasis.” It’s cheap, convenient, and easily accessed.
This hotel was made so that even women can feel comfortable staying.
A Convenient Location for Travel to Kyoto! Stay Cheaply in a Japanese-Style Building at “Guest House Waraku-an”Read Later
“Guest House Waraku-an” is built in a renovated 100-year-old house in Kyoto.
Guests can stay for a reasonable price and enjoy a pure Japanese atmosphere.
Kyoto's charms feature both modern and nostalgic faces. In September of 2018, GLANSIT Kyoto Kawaramachi, a stylish capsule hotel matching the traditional townscape opened for business!
Located in Kawaramachi, Kyoto you’ll find Len, a trendy little hostel with its own built-in café and bar. The first floor’s lounge area, where the café and bar are located, welcomes not only guests, but locals and travelers alike. The atmosphere is laid back and encourages people to come together and have a good time. Its location is convenient for sightseeing around Kyoto as well, with the downtown area and Kamogawa just a stone's throw away.
Today, I'd like to introduce Hostel Wasabi Kyoto Soba, a traditional old house in Kyoto that has been converted into a hostel.
This inn is located in a residential area about 30 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station. The nearest train station, Kitano-Hakubaicho Station, is an 11-minute bus ride away. However, it is in close proximity to a number of tourist attractions, such as Nijo Castle, the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Seimei Shrine, making this location surprisingly convenient! There is also bus access heading for Kinkakuji (The Golden Pavilion) and Arashiyama.
Kyoto – K’s House KyotoRead Later
This time, we will be introducing “K’s House Kyoto,” the largest-scale hostel in Kyoto.
The hostel is located a 9-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It is conveniently located, with easy access to a variety of sightseeing locations, such as Kyoto Tower, Higashi Honganji, and Sanjusangen-do. The nightly price is reasonable at 2400 yen, but this facility is gaining popularity thanks to its comparatively clean and comfortable interior.
This time, I will be introducing BOOK AND BED TOKYO’s Kyoto location, a hostel created to be a “bookstore you can stay in.”
This hostel, which is a hot topic in Tokyo, opened a Kyoto location in December of 2016!
