Nago City, Northern Main Island

I visited Daisekirinzan in Yambaru, Okinawa, and felt the earth’s energy!

Northern Okinawa is called Yambaru. It is a place where they are proud of their natural surroundings. Going farther north, there is a place called Daisekirinzan, locals call it “power spot”. It is said, there you can experience the earth`s energy flowing. One sunny day I hiked there to enjoy nature in the subtropical zone. I found strange shaped rocks, massive stones, and forest and ocean views from the plateau.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is a popular classic tourist spot in Okinawa!
By using one of the world’s largest water tanks, the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is famous for boasting the world’s first success in housing and raising multiple whale sharks and giant oceanic manta rays.

The “Chura” of “Churaumi Aquarium” means “beautiful” in Okinawan dialect. As the name suggests, the Churaumi Aquarium strives to faithfully reproduce the beauty of Okinawa’s ocean from the water’s surface to a depth of 700 meters by maintaining light, water quality, transparency, and more as close to nature as possible.
