The popular yoshoku (western-style food) restaurant Mon-ami serves hamburger steaks made with Kobe beef, the pride and joy of Hyogo Prefecture. This enormous hamburger has even been featured on TV. I decided to stop by for lunch, so I’ll be introducing my experience here!
My lunch this time was a BISTRO MARX on the 7th floor of the GINZA PLACE building.
This is the world’s first branch of the Grand Bistro, supervised by Thierry Marx, head chef of 2-star Paris restaurants. Here you can enjoy Marx-styled French cuisine themed after “a fusion of cooking and bread” for a reasonable price.

Chef Heinz Beck, from Rome's La Pergola, winner of 3 Michelin stars for 12 consecutive years, is a master in the world of gastronomy. Now his first fine dining establishment has opened in Tokyo!
In Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, there is a spot that is popular with women. Called "Kaze-no-Mori Garden", it's a collection of unique and fashionable shops. Among those is Amelie, a restaurant serving excellent crêpes. Upon hearing this, I headed out there!
“ARGILE” opened in 2016 as a sister restaurant to Michelin 2-star French restaurant ESqUISSE.
Both are French restaurants, but compared to ESqUISSE, where even lunch courses can run you 11000 yen, ARGILE is comparatively casual and has meal options starting at 5000 yen.
ARGILE was published in 2018’s Michelin Guide, earning its first star.

I visited the Chayamachi location of CHEESE CRAFT WORKS, a cheese specialty shop, on April 13th, 2017.
Apparently cheese is used in every menu item that they offer!
Additionally, WAGYUdoki by CHEESE CRAFT WORKS, where you can enjoy both cheese and yakiniku, is open in the restaurant space at the same time!
Daimyo, in Fukuoka Prefecture, is an area full of chic stores, and it’s popular with young patrons. It’s also home to a variety of reasonably priced restaurants. This time, I’m visiting a chic Italian restaurant with a mature vibe.
