The “Kawaguchiko Herb Festival” is a major annual event for Lake Kawaguchi in the early summer. It begins in mid-June, and it lasts for roughly a month.
Around 100,000 stalks of lavender grow along the lakeside area, with the main areas for viewing the flowers being Yagizaki Park and Oishi Park.
Enjoy the rejuvenating combination of a view of Mt. Fuji and the scent of lavender.

In Saitama Prefecture, there is Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park. Scattered throughout the park are places where the spirit of Tove Jansson lives on. A fairy-tale writer from Northern Europe, she created the world-famous Moomin character. This park is full of cute buildings and natural spaces for visitors to enjoy.
Ashikaga Flower Park is a flower theme park located in Tochigi Prefecture’s Ashikaga City, around 80 kilometers from Tokyo. Flowers are available for viewing year-round in the park’s 92,000 square-meter area. One of the park’s particularly big draws is its wisteria flowers. The park holds over 350 wisteria trees, and it is Japan’s largest collection of wisterias.
Hirosaki Park in Aomori Prefecture’s Hirosaki City is home to Japan’s oldest Yoshino cherry tree. The park features around 52 different varieties and 2,600 total cherry trees. Over 300 of the Yoshino cherry trees in the park are over 100 years old, and since these trees have branches that extend far to the sides and grow larger flowers, they create an incredible cherry blossom viewing experience.
